Getting Started with NVIA Email Editor
Welcome to NVIA! This guide will walk you through setting up your account and creating your first professional email campaign in just a few minutes.
Account Setup
1. Create Your Account
- Sign up at app.nvia.com/signup
- Verify your email address
- Complete your profile with business information
- Choose your plan (14-day free trial available)
2. Initial Configuration
Once logged in, you'll need to configure a few basic settings:
Domain Authentication
For optimal deliverability, authenticate your sending domain:
- Go to Settings > Domains
- Click Add Domain
- Enter your domain (e.g.,
yourdomain.com
) - Add the provided DNS records to your domain
- Wait for verification (usually 15-30 minutes)
Brand Settings
Set up your brand for consistent email design:
- Navigate to Settings > Brand
- Upload your logo and brand assets
- Define your brand colors (primary, secondary, accent)
- Select your default fonts
- Save your brand kit
3. Import Your Contacts
Before creating emails, import your subscriber list:
- Go to Contacts > Import
- Choose your import method:
- CSV/Excel file upload
- Integration with your CRM
- API connection
- Copy and paste
- Map your fields (Name, Email, Custom Fields)
- Review and import
Creating Your First Email
Step 1: Choose Your Starting Point
From your dashboard, click Create Campaign. You have three options:
Option A: Use a Template
- Browse our template library
- Filter by industry, purpose, or style
- Preview templates on desktop and mobile
- Select Use This Template
Option B: Start from Scratch
- Choose Blank Canvas
- Select your email width (600px recommended)
- Begin with an empty layout
Option C: Import HTML
- Select Import HTML
- Paste your existing HTML code
- NVIA will convert it to editable blocks
Step 2: Design Your Email
Adding Content Blocks
The Email Editor uses a drag-and-drop system with content blocks:
Text Blocks
- Drag Text from the sidebar
- Click to edit content
- Use the toolbar for formatting (bold, italic, links, etc.)
- Adjust spacing and alignment
Image Blocks
- Drag Image into your email
- Click Upload Image or choose from your library
- Set alt text for accessibility
- Configure linking and sizing
Button Blocks
- Add Button elements for calls-to-action
- Customize text, colors, and styling
- Set the destination URL
- Choose button size and alignment
Advanced Blocks
- Social Media: Add social follow/share buttons
- Divider: Insert visual separators
- Video: Embed video content
- HTML: Custom code blocks for advanced users
Styling Your Email
Global Styles
- Set background colors and images
- Configure default fonts and colors
- Adjust email width and padding
Block-Level Styling
- Click any block to access styling options
- Modify colors, fonts, spacing, and borders
- Use the visual editor or CSS properties
Mobile Optimization
- All templates are automatically responsive
- Use the mobile preview to check appearance
- Adjust mobile-specific spacing if needed
Step 3: Personalization
Add dynamic content to personalize your emails:
Merge Tags
Insert subscriber information:
{{first_name}}
- Subscriber's first name{{last_name}}
- Subscriber's last name{{email}}
- Email address{{company}}
- Company name- Custom fields you've imported
Conditional Content
Show different content to different segments:
- Select a content block
- Click Conditions in the properties panel
- Set rules based on subscriber data
- Define what content to show for each condition
Step 4: Preview and Test
Before sending, always preview your email:
Device Preview
- Desktop Preview: How it appears in desktop email clients
- Mobile Preview: Mobile phone appearance
- Tablet Preview: Tablet-optimized view
Test Emails
- Click Send Test Email
- Enter test email addresses
- Send to yourself and team members
- Check formatting, links, and content
Inbox Preview
Use our inbox preview tool to see how your email appears in:
- Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail
- Yahoo, AOL, and other major clients
- Different devices and screen sizes
Step 5: Configure Send Settings
Basic Settings
- Campaign Name: Internal reference name
- Subject Line: What recipients see in their inbox
- Preview Text: Snippet that appears after subject line
- From Name: Sender name (your name or company)
- From Email: Must be from your authenticated domain
Advanced Settings
- Reply-To Email: Where replies should go
- Track Opens: Monitor email open rates
- Track Clicks: Track link click activity
- Unsubscribe Settings: Manage list opt-outs
Step 6: Select Recipients
Choose who receives your email:
Send to Lists
- Select from your imported contact lists
- Choose multiple lists if needed
- Exclude specific segments if required
Send to Segments
- Create dynamic segments based on subscriber data
- Target by location, behavior, engagement, etc.
- Save segments for future use
Schedule or Send Now
- Send Immediately: Campaign goes out right away
- Schedule: Choose specific date and time
- Optimal Send Time: Let AI determine the best time
- Time Zone Delivery: Send at optimal times per recipient's location

Subject Lines
- Keep under 50 characters for mobile
- Create urgency or curiosity
- Avoid spam trigger words
- A/B test different options
Content
- Lead with your most important message
- Use clear, scannable formatting
- Include a strong call-to-action
- Keep mobile users in mind

- Maintain brand consistency
- Use high-quality images
- Ensure sufficient color contrast
